General Zod, that is..
Michael Shannon, who's been in a million movies, including 8 mile (which I only realized the other day) and Revolutionary Road, for which he received an Oscar nom. for best supporting, has just been cast as the evil Gen. Zod in the new Zack Snyder Superman reboot.
If I wasn't excited about this movie before, I am definitely now. Shannon really is a very, very talented actor. In Revolutionary Road, he was really really really good, and twisted and dark. I assume that this interpretation of Zod is going to be a scary and effed up one, because I don't think they would have cast M.S if not.
