You know what really grinds my gears?
I'll tell you.
It's when hollywood big wigs decide to take a film, that may or may not be part of one of the largest film franchise's ever, and completely slaughter it.
Let me take a few steps back.
When I first saw the 6th installment of the Harry Potter Films, I initially enjoyed it to some degree. Yes, I did realize immediately(as any other Potter Fan would) that they had used some creative liberties and cut some sections from the book, but I still found it to be at least, to some level, enjoyable and at the very least visually and aesthetically pleasing.
HOWEVER, a few months ago, I re-read the 6th and 7th books before the 7th film came out. Not only did I realize that they had indeed cut a great deal out from the book, but they had changed the tune and vibe of Half Blood Prince entirely. They didn't even include Dumbledore's funereal, which to me was real upsetting and such a let down.
Luckily, the 7th movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, was incredible. It was the best movie I have seen in a while, aside from Black Swan. I loved it so much because of how close of a representation to the book it truly was. I think that had to do a great deal with J.K Rowling signing on as producer, resulting in a much more accurate depiction of her vision than any other HP films before.
So, here's to HP7 p2; Let it be just as good if not better then the first half, and let it close out the series on a high and powerful note.
Aveda Kedavra Bitches.
