NO.
Say it isn't so.
In some seriously upsetting news, both directorial genius Darren Aronofsky and Fox Studio's have released statement's saying that the two have parted ways on the upcoming sequel to Wolverine. Aronofsky's main reasoning for leaving is that if he had stayed, he would be out of the country to close for a year, and he just doesn't think he can be away from his family for such an extended period of time.
Boo fuckity Hoo Darren, People were counting on you. I don't care if your child will have an undisclosed amount of therapy hours due to the lack of your ever looming presence in the house, ok? The first Wolverine was so so, which really disappointed me due to truly how big of an Xmen fan I am (yes, geeky subject matter and I go hand in hand). I was really expecting big things from the sequel, all of which have been squashed and murdered slowly by Darren's incessant need to take the joy out of my life. Thank's a lot bin laden.
Here's hoping X Men First Class is solid, because I won't feel good about The Wolverine unless they get a director I feel is up to par with Darren, which lets face it, with production already started, they will need to hire a new director immediately, which means they'll have to find a director who isn't busy, which in turn, means that they'll either get incredibly lucky and find a sick director who by chance is available, or, they'll pick someone mediocre due to the time crunch. I'm going to go with the ladder.
