Like I had said a few days or weeks or something ago, Darren Aronofsky had to bow out of directing the sequel to Wolverine: Xmen Origins. Obviously, as it is sure to be one of the biggest blockbusters of 2012, the studio is desperately trying to find a somewhat worthy replacement to helm the film.
There are, as of now, mainly two contenders. They are as followed;
David Slade: Is known for directing horror films, such as 30 Days Of Night. He definitely wouldn't be my first choice, considering he already is directing the reboot of the DareDevil comic series.
Then, there's Duncan Jones, who I can only assume is British due to that repugnant name. I wish his last name was doughnuts so badly. Regardless of his origins (his Xmen Origins, oh shit!), he was critically hailed after delivering his first film, the British Indy flick Moon, staring Sam Rockwell. It got nominated for all of the British Independent Film Awards, so I reckon he's going to take the win. If not only because of his past credentials, then for his similarity in style to Darren Aronofsky.
I guess we'll hear in the next couple of weeks who it's going to be, but my money, like I said, is on Duncan Doughy Nuts.
Ps: In the above pic from the first Wolverine flick, on the far right, the girl who played Kira or Keera or however it's spelled definitely played Dawn Pickin's on Trueblood.
