Today, it was confirmed that Joseph Gordon-Levitt and actress Juno Temple have been cast in the third and final installment of Chris Nolan's Batman trilogy. JGL will be playing Alberto Falcone, the son of crime lord Carmine Falcone, who was played in Batman Begins by Tom Wilkinson. I'm gonna go ahead and assume his story line will some how involve his mission to hunt down and kill Batman out of vengeance. JGL is a sick actor, so I think his casting is yet another solid sign that this movie will live up to the previous two.
UPDATE: Reports are saying now that JGL will NOT be Alberto Falcone. His role is still undisclosed.
Actress Juno Temple has also been cast in the film, but there are only rumors as to what part she has. Most outlets are reporting that she will be playing a street smart Gotham city resident, but others are even speculating that she could be playing some sort of female Robin. I sure as hell hope not and also doubt that Nolan would go in the direction, but either way, I'm excited to see The Dark Knight Rises, I just wish I didn't have to wait so long to see it.
